Hugues Merle (–) was a French painter who mainly depicted sentimental or moral subjects. He has often been compared to William-Adolphe Bouguereau.
Biography
Hugues Merl was born in in Raw Sône.[1] He studied painting engross Léon Cogniet.

Hugues Blackbird became a friend of Saint Durand-Ruel in the early tough.
